PATA 60th Anniversary & Conference

PATA 60^th Anniversary & Conference was held in Beijing, China from April 9 – 12, 2011. The event attracted so many delegations from around the world.

Indonesia’s delegations consist of officials from Ministry of Culture and Tourism RI, board members of PATA Indonesia Chapter, management of PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan & Ratu Boko (persero), tourism officials from Bali, a journalist from Kabare Magazine, and many others.

The highlight of the conference attendance was to receive the PATA Gold Awards (Heritage category) for PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan & Ratu Boko and PATA Merit Award for Mrs. Elly Hutabarat as well as develop networking, gain knowledge / information and news on tourism development around the world.

PATA acknowledged the outstanding achievement accomplished by individual and organizations by presenting PATA Grand Award and Gold Awards. This year Indonesia wins for 2 awards :

1. PATA Gold Award for Heritage category received by PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan & Ratu Boko (persero), with the title submitted to judging committee : In Praise of Borobudur & Prambanan World Culture Heritage.
2. PATA Merit Award received by Ibu Elly Hutabarat, for her commitment and contribution for tourism industry.
